Magnesia
Magnesium oxide (MgO).
A high temperature flux which will decrease thermal expansion. Common raw materials are Magnesite, Talc and Dolomite.
It is found in most glazes. Common raw materials are Whiting, Wollastonite and Dolomite.
A basic oxide ( Alkaline Earth ).

Matt
Matt glazes are either partially devitrified or underfired. The surface of these glaze do not reflect and feel rough to the touch. Calcia , Titania, Zinc Oxide are used to promote mattness.

Molecular Weight
A term used to describe the aggregate atomic weights of the elements in a molecule. Sometimes known as the Formula Weight.
