Recipe Box
This is exactly the same as in the Recipe to Analysis tab
sheet except that it is disabled.
Comments
Any comments about the glaze recipe , such as
colouring oxides and firing, should be placed here.
The layout (maximum 13 lines) is copied verbatim in the recipe printout.
Print Icon
Double click on the bucket to open the Print window. If this
window is covering the recipe window, you should move it to one side. Then click on the
glaze bucket again but this time hold the mouse button down and drag the print icon into
the print position of your choice.
Type
A code can be used to categorise your recipes, you may decide to use the first 2 of the 12
characters as:
Tr = Transparent
Op = Opaque
Tl = Translucent
You may decide the third and fourth characters will be one of the following:
Ch = Chun
Tn = Tenmoku
Sf = Sang de Boeuf
You will then be able to use the Recipe Search Window to list say, all translucent Chuns
by searching for the type "TlCh".
Name
A unique name must be given to the recipe in this box before it can be printed or added to
the database.
Cone Equivalent
Choose the cone which you think is equivalent to the maturing temperature of your
glaze recipe from the pulldown list.
Date Created
If this recipe is new, today's date will be displayed, otherwise it will have the date the
recipe was first added to the database. To change the date to today's date you will have
to remove the recipe from the database and then add it back again.
Add
The recipe will be added to the current database if it has been given a name and it does
not already exist. If you have chosen a name that is already in the current database, you
will be asked if you wish to overwrite the old one by saving any changes.
Remove
Removes the named recipe from the current database.
